About Renée Finberg
I have been in this business since the age of 22.
I love what I do and cannot imagine my life without Design.
Design Challenges are great.
And because of those challenges
I have imported fine antique pieces from Paris,
Designed and Manufactured Furniture,
Created Fantastic Window Treatments,
And solved all kinds of spatial & architectural issues
With my unique style.
If I can't find it, I create it.
My rooms would make excellent movie sets.
I am a visual, tactile and audio sensitive individual.
Creating is what I live for, not math, not spelling, not science.
Just Great Design.
Just imagine how it would be if each of us,
If only for a few hours of everyday,We could be in a space that is our very own.A place that is exactly the way we want it to be
Surrounded by all the things we wanted to see,
The atmosphere we wanted feel, smell and the sound we wanted to listen to.
Private Paradise

He is so crazy talented, brilliant, over the top and is doing VERY VERY well indeed... i am not sure if i could live in any of his spaces as they are a bit too theatrical for me but they are amazing to look at.
ReplyDeleteFrancine
ReplyDeletei sort of desire the theatrical feeling in his home.
it is so fifferent-
and fun.
no doubt you wouldn't get board.
and i really love that.

I like the 'fig' rooms and the third picture is wonderful. It reminds me of Cocteau's Santo Sospir at Cap Ferrat. I also like the curtains there and the bed spread furthr down with appliqués. Alberto Pinto knows his history and his textiles!
ReplyDeleteOur house in France could possibly be a mish mash of styles because we absolutely have to have a black and white staircase with touches of gold!!! You are going to have your work cut out Renee to make it work for us!!!!! xxx
ReplyDeleteWow, he's really different! He has an incredible talent for marrying very disparate elements. The result is very unique and fabulous.

ReplyDeletenot to worry. we will pull it together just fine.

Renee,
ReplyDeleteWe need diverse designers to learn from because given an array of projects in a different genre creates growth in us. This allows us to experience using a different part of our brain and free our inhibitions that cause limits to creativity.
So, through many design experiences be it: museums, indoor or outdoor art exhibits, gallery receptions, books and even images on tbe web we push our limits on design and clear out mental clutter on what works. Because really it ALL works depending on your perspective.
