Calcutta - Elle Decor....Dingy Yet Interesting?
About Renée Finberg
I have been in this business since the age of 22.
I love what I do and cannot imagine my life without Design.
Design Challenges are great.
And because of those challenges
I have imported fine antique pieces from Paris,
Designed and Manufactured Furniture,
Created Fantastic Window Treatments,
And solved all kinds of spatial & architectural issues
With my unique style.
If I can't find it, I create it.
My rooms would make excellent movie sets.
I am a visual, tactile and audio sensitive individual.
Creating is what I live for, not math, not spelling, not science.
Just Great Design.
Just imagine how it would be if each of us,
If only for a few hours of everyday,We could be in a space that is our very own.A place that is exactly the way we want it to be
Surrounded by all the things we wanted to see,
The atmosphere we wanted feel, smell and the sound we wanted to listen to.

It looks like a home that is lived in and I love its look.

I didn't even bother buying this month's Elle Decor. Flipping through it, I didn't see a single picture that appealed to me.
ReplyDeleteInteresting art. I wouldn't be bored being a visitor there, lots to look at!
ReplyDeletesqueak

Very interesting and unique pieces! However I do feel I am walking into my great, great aunts home when I was a child.

ReplyDeletedefinitely
that's the feel.
but a very cool, worldly, brainiac uncle.

Well I'll go along with squeak.
ReplyDeleteIf you look at Designers in the Arch-Digest 1970's and see the designers work to day it looks as you say from "HUNGER" I like elegance. Camping is OK if it
is on a house boat with a renown
chef. The last post looked like Germany after WWII.

ReplyDeleteso glad you enjoyed it!

I love all that art and the bed...a little cluttered but interesting.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, after reading all the comments I am truly afraid to say what it reminds me of! Cracks and all it could almost be my home except that perhaps my wall colours are a bit brighter and lighter!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBig hugs and love xxx
Dingy? No I think its actually quite fabulous, love the worn aged colors and paitna of the whole place and you just know someone utterly fascinating who has all kinds of tales about their world travels and exploits lives there, and what fun to be there and absorb it and see the world through this persons eyes..you know its gotta be something good.
