A Black Parrot in Rockland Maine

There are not a bazillion stores to choose from in Maine for clothes or anything else, so only the strong survive!
The Black Parrot in Rockland Maine is a definite  stop every time I visit.
Here I am wearing one of their hats.
Very Annie Hall.
Don't you think ?

This shop has EVERYTHING.
Marimekko Accessories, which I adore since I first moved to Manhattan and stumbled upon their old shop off 5th Ave.
And now it is all coming back stronger than ever. And, BTW with many of the same designs from the 60's & 70's.

These boots had my name on them.
I love!!!
But far too rich for my pocket ....400.00.

The Black Parrot Shop has the best accessories for dressing.
If you like fingerless gloves & would NEVER be able to choose just one pair.

I thought these were a hoot and a half.
These eggs GLOW in the dark!!
What kind of chicken can do that??

Want the eggs ??
the black parrot , 207 593 9370. they are very sweet & will ship.

  3. Renee....,you are so beautiful, I'm quite annoyed that you look so good !!!! Haha.
I love you in that hat, but, I bet everything suits you.
What a fantastic shop...from the fingerless gloves to the eggs that glow in the dark. I think that I will go and check out the Black Parrot....if you can wear that hat, then so can I !!!! XXXX

  4. glow in the dark eggs...i'd safely guarantee those hens weren't free range - what do you think?

  5. I LOVE the Black Parrot...along with a few other faves in Rockland. You look fab darlin'- I was just in Camden on Saturday-at Cappy's. See my post from a few days ago-along with the one about the little boy's grave. Are you happy to be home? Have things dried up at your Mom's house???

  6. That looks like such a FUN place. Come to HOT-lanta, I'll show you a good time! LOTS of shops here!

  7. Renee looks like you adore hats like I do...most people say "I would love to wear them but they don't have enough confidence to". Great shop, would love to see it. I've never been to New York or LA shopping. Chicago is the place around here....Magnificent Mile of course and I live a good three hours from there! I'm taking my daughter & daughter-in-law and her mom on the Amtrak the first week of Dec. Christmas shopping..should be a fun time! Hope you're relaxing at home now....all that shopping wears a girl out! Always good to visit family.

About Renée Finberg

I have been in this business since the age of 22.

I love what I do and cannot imagine my life without Design.

Design Challenges are great.

And because of those challenges

I have imported fine antique pieces from Paris,

Designed and Manufactured Furniture,

Created Fantastic Window Treatments,

And solved all kinds of spatial & architectural issues

With my unique style.

If I can't find it, I create it.

My rooms would make excellent movie sets.

I am a visual, tactile and audio sensitive individual.

Creating is what I live for, not math, not spelling, not science.

Just Great Design.

Just imagine how it would be if each of us,

If only for a few hours of everyday,We could be in a space that is our very own.A place that is exactly the way we want it to be

Surrounded by all the things we wanted to see,

The atmosphere we wanted feel, smell and the sound we wanted to listen to.
