This Might Be Boring...

But It Can & Will Make A Big Difference.
ONYX
Onyx can be lit from behind......
Do you have a powder room you would like to be truly special ?
Take a chest like this,

or this,
or this,
or even this... then you top it with onyx, drop in a sink (or two, if the size is right for a master bath) with beautiful hardware, and you are set ! Now , hang a fabulous mirror over the sink, hang a set of sconces on either side of the mirror and ' voila !'
But, make every piece you choose special.

Onyx can be costly, but is small quantities, it is worth the money for the amazing impact that it will give you.
Onyx. It is like a jewel.
.
And pictures DO NOT show you how truly beautiful it is
If you under mount a sink , try a hammered brass, nickle, or oiled bronze sink.

Do You Like Onyx ?

I feel that the powder room
is the one room in the house that you can,
and should... go all the way out for !
Be a bit wild, and extravagant.
You won't regret it
and your guest will always comment on it.
It is a no-brainer.
After all, a person is only in a powder room
for a few minutes....
so do something unexpected.

  3. Ooooh Onyx IS a special stone, indeed! Great and fun Powder room! I have one I painted the ceilieng cherry red and the walls gold...it has a talavera sink...I'm getting bored of it...was just looking at it the other day wondering what I could do different. It's the size of an airplane bathroom though. sigh.

OMG I am OBSESSED with onyx! I'm so glad you're showing it. It's the most glamorous countertop and lit from behind? To die for! And never out of style, it's Art by God!

    Renee,

I love the second chest. It is gorgeous. It would look very lovely in a bath area.

  8. I couldn't agree more. The powder room should feel like a little jewel of a room.
Onyx is such a gorgeous stone. We used a butterscotch colored onyx in a bathroom recently.
    Loved it!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend, Renee.

Created Fantastic Window Treatments,

And solved all kinds of spatial & architectural issues

With my unique style.

If I can't find it, I create it.

My rooms would make excellent movie sets.

I am a visual, tactile and audio sensitive individual.

Creating is what I live for, not math, not spelling, not science.

Just Great Design.

Just imagine how it would be if each of us,

If only for a few hours of everyday,We could be in a space that is our very own.A place that is exactly the way we want it to be

Surrounded by all the things we wanted to see,

The atmosphere we wanted feel, smell and the sound we wanted to listen to.
