Fried Clams in Port Clyde Maine

It was a rainy and cold day....
I am driving to my favorite spot.

Here we are in Port Clyde.
My favorite general store until
'Linda Bean' bought it.
{of L.L.Bean Fame}
She has made some changes .....
and who really likes anyone messing with history.

My mom is in that champagne Subaru.
This is Subaru country.

Maine is beautiful even on dreary days.
BTW
This is the place you catch the ferry to go to Mohegan Island.

If it weren't rainy and cold....
we would be sitting here.

Another fantastic dining experience.
Fried Clams!!!

I can't wait to move up here.
I will be up here until July 3rd,
hopefully by them I will have a job and some idea of where I will live.

Pray for me!
please?
*cuz I am scared

  1. I pray for you, my dear friend. i cannot think of a better place than with mom in Maine. I would love to have one of these wonderful Maine picnic with you there, alas I will not be going to Maine until the end of July for a week only. When I am in doubt and face life's challenges, I buy a notebook an write...lists, dreams, ideas, thoughts, what i love, what angers me, what scares me... I just found one of these notebooks and it was quite a revelation as i could read my fears, my frustrations....before i made some major decisions. That was 10 years ago. I have a new notebook by my bed....
I wish you all the best, and luck...a sluck is a big factor in our business life. xo francine

  2. I'm so excited for you. As a Southerner, we head to Maine almost every Summer to escape the heat, and I love the casual and laid back feel. Thrilled to follow along on your newest venture and know you will love it and find just the right job!!

Things happen for a reason, don't they? So happy that you are where you should be.
By the way, now I am craving lobster, oysters, and clams! Looks perfect.

  6. Even in the rain it looks so welcoming. Sending more positive vibes your way and the notebook (wish list) idea sounds like a good one. Make a list of what you want and order it through the cosmos!
    Much love

About Renée Finberg

I have been in this business since the age of 22.

I love what I do and cannot imagine my life without Design.

Design Challenges are great.

And because of those challenges

I have imported fine antique pieces from Paris,

Designed and Manufactured Furniture,

Created Fantastic Window Treatments,

And solved all kinds of spatial & architectural issues

With my unique style.

If I can't find it, I create it.

My rooms would make excellent movie sets.

I am a visual, tactile and audio sensitive individual.

Creating is what I live for, not math, not spelling, not science.

Just Great Design.

Just imagine how it would be if each of us,

If only for a few hours of everyday,We could be in a space that is our very own.A place that is exactly the way we want it to be

Surrounded by all the things we wanted to see,

The atmosphere we wanted feel, smell and the sound we wanted to listen to.
