Shutters - Shutters - Shutters
About Renée Finberg
I have been in this business since the age of 22.
I love what I do and cannot imagine my life without Design.
Design Challenges are great.
And because of those challenges
I have imported fine antique pieces from Paris,
Designed and Manufactured Furniture,
Created Fantastic Window Treatments,
And solved all kinds of spatial & architectural issues
With my unique style.
If I can't find it, I create it.
My rooms would make excellent movie sets.
I am a visual, tactile and audio sensitive individual.
Creating is what I live for, not math, not spelling, not science.
Just Great Design.
Just imagine how it would be if each of us,
If only for a few hours of everyday,We could be in a space that is our very own.A place that is exactly the way we want it to be
Surrounded by all the things we wanted to see,
The atmosphere we wanted feel, smell and the sound we wanted to listen to.

Dear Renee, I have been following along for a while...this is not about shutters....I had no idea you loved horses as you do! As you know Zenyatta had her baby, with a star on her forehead just like her mamma. Several years ago my son. Matt introduced me to thorough breds ...we have been to the Breeders Cup and the Derby...and I have met Mike Smith, quite by accident, while in line getting my morning coffee in my hotel! I was totally speechless, he is my favorite!!! I have come to love this beautiful animal, it is not about the racing....anyway, I love decor and gardens and...your blog is so very entertaining and straight from the heart. I love that! N.xo

Love the charm and character shutters give virtually any home.....I have seen them used indoors to frame a doorway and as a headboard, beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHow about inside???
ReplyDeleteLots of dusting.
Mama
My Mother had a passion for shutters and she put them on every house regardless of whether the fitted, or suited, and somehow they always worked!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe divided a room in two once using French door shutters and yes La Petite Gallery lots of dusting!!!!!

OMG Renée .... my favourite subjest. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE shutters. I think that they are the best treatment for windows. I have just ordered some more for our back bedrooms. We already have them in the front bedrooms and the front downstairs rooms of our home.
ReplyDeleteOur daughter has just had them fitted in her home and our son and daughter-in-law want them too.
Do you remember that my 60th birthday present from my husband was a pair of old, shabby, chipped French shutters ? I have one in our breakfast room, just propped up and one in our dining room. I LOVE them.
As you can tell, shutters are a subject close to my heart !!
....and, how are you doing Renée ? Is your back feeling better and, even more importantly, have you been on anymore dates ?!!!! Much love. XXXX
