Let's peek through the window into his world.

I will start with this.

Firstly, I love ' redd '  mixed with zebra.

I mean... love it!

Miles Redd understands space...color, patterns, display.....

let's just say the man has it!

The gift.

Take this sectional, most people do not understand that a sectional is the way to go for a small space if you need more than seating for 2 - 4.

Not to mention the 'cozy factor'.

You always have the corner to lay down in as if it were a chaise.

I love the cozy corner.

See the wall mounted lamps?

I do the same thing for my clients when there is very little room for end pieces next to the sofa.

Floor lamps are so predictable.

And here I am in that same old outfit with Mr. Redd .

Next time I go to market at the DCOTA, I will have to have my make-up and wardrobe trailer brought along. lol

Could you DIE ?

Gorgeous.

Are those Hermes Boxes?

I hope so.

Before I spoke to Miles Redd, I was watching him with some young design students.

They were all 'goo goo' over him ( and rightly so), giggling and asking him for advice, and telling him that they would be sending him their resumes....blah, blah, blah.

And all the while Mr. Redd was so kind, encouraging and attentive to each one of them.

I am sure a few of them will never forget the experience.

It was sweet to watch.

*He is Living and working in the heart of Manhattan

It is just another thing that is special about him.

I would think it must be like having a very gentle, yet exotic creature design your home.

What a gift that would be.

The Paris Apartment's Claudia Strasser @ Pierre Deux

She is and looks absolutely adorable.

What a big and beautiful smile she has.

But I thought.....isn't that what you are expected to do when your groopies show up to listen to you while you attempt to teach them about living  the French Flea Market lifestyle?.

And how to incorporate something fabulous from a flea market (that you picked up while in Paris) to just finish off your cocktail table, or that special room.

There are so many special touches that so many shoppers do not know about,

or understand the way Claudia Strasser does.

 This is what Claudia Strasser does.

And she did it with words, props and a slide show.

*And of course she signed her book, 'The Paris Apartment' at the end of her presentation.

The Event for Claudia Strasser of 'The Paris Apartment' was held in the Pierre Deux Showroom at the D.C.O.T.A. in Dania Beach, Florida

While Claudia was doing her Q + A's , 

an older woman went into her life story ( I do mean a mini series)

about shopping for antiques in Germany in her young married life, and

I was sitting there thinking...so what did you buy over there in Germany?

A COO KOO clock perhaps????

COO KOO, COO KOO!!!!!

HMMMMM? 

Here we are talking about Paris.....and that ties right into Germany how?

German antiques?

Am I missing something? ...like an old ginger bread house or  Hansel and Gretal dolls maybe?

It was like a TV moment on Seinfeld.

HUH?

Do I sound a bit tightly wound?

Well, you know I am. And I needed this fun day.

And it was.

It was very entertaining for moi.

And educational for some. LOL

The time I spent with with Claudia.... well...

I was smiling all the time.

Except when the lady went on about her German antiquing memories.

I was hysterical in my head, while in my chair...thinking that I wanted to blurt out

Coo Koo, Coo Koo, what did you buy?

Let me guess, An old Coo Koo clock maybe?

No worries. I behaved,

but I am sure glad that my thought bubbles weren't read.

Claudia and I had a good laugh in the parking lot as we were saying our goodbyes.

Needless to say... I did pick up some new material for my blog and you.

I am not sure there is anything better than beauty.

My life is so incredibly stressfull......

(I haven't shared with you yet but I take care of my ex-mother-in law.

She is 94 yrs. old and is suffering from severe dementia. Need I say more?)

So, to me this break at the design center was just what I needed.

And look....is that Hutton Wilkinson over there on that sofa?

Yes it is.

I will just get a 'Glam Shot' for my design blog with him.

How do we look ?

I asked Hutton Wilkinson if he had one sentence that best describes how he feels about Design,

he said; " If it isn't FABULOUS, it's MEANINGLESS!"

Don't you love that ?

Ever Have One Of Those Days.....

that turned into three ?

I just finished a long complicated post , 

with pictures, lotza' typed words and explanations.....

and my computer BURPED!

Everything disappeared. 

FOREVER!

I can't get it back. It is lost in the blogosphere.

In the black hole of all knowing and all not knowing ....

words and pictures out there just floating for eternity.

I am just trying to breath.....

In with the good ....out with the bad.

In with the good ....out with the bad.

In with the good ....out with the bad.

When I got to work yesterday, it was the same thing only different.

It was 'people' who were malfunctioning/burping.

Emotional Moods, and other unpleasant vibes and words.

I am getting ready for work and will reload the entire post tomorrow.

But now... I am reloading my mind set for today.

I am just trying to breath.....

In with the good ....out with the bad.

In with the good ....out with the bad.

In with the good ....out with the bad.

I am envisioning all good.

Surrounding myself with love and protection.

I am surrounding all I encounter today (including you) with love and protection.

AND.....Play with and listen to Claudi Strasser's schtick at Pierre Deux.
