About Renée Finberg
I have been in this business since the age of 22.
I love what I do and cannot imagine my life without Design.
Design Challenges are great.
And because of those challenges
I have imported fine antique pieces from Paris,
Designed and Manufactured Furniture,
Created Fantastic Window Treatments,
And solved all kinds of spatial & architectural issues
With my unique style.
If I can't find it, I create it.
My rooms would make excellent movie sets.
I am a visual, tactile and audio sensitive individual.
Creating is what I live for, not math, not spelling, not science.
Just Great Design.
Just imagine how it would be if each of us,
If only for a few hours of everyday,We could be in a space that is our very own.A place that is exactly the way we want it to be
Surrounded by all the things we wanted to see,
The atmosphere we wanted feel, smell and the sound we wanted to listen to.
Private Paradise

I would like to use it on the ceiling - especially the silver leaf colour. Hope it would adhere properly. Unfortunately I don't think there's anyone in Bangkok skilled enough to put it up. Boo hoo!
ReplyDeleteThe black would look awesome on a great door IMHO, but just the door.
ReplyDeleteToo much? No way...I love it, so dramatic, elegant, regal and important looking. Black is one of my favorite colors...lots of power with the punch. I have seen black libraries, black dining rooms that are sensational take your breath away gorgeous. Its all about the balance of what is going on in the roon and adding some reflection (mirrors) to add extra dimension.....love drama and black delivers.

I did a post a while back on black as a dominant color in rooms. I love black walls! Not too dramatic for me!
ReplyDeleteI used to have black walls in my dining room. Came from looking at too many architectural digest in the 80's and 90's. Loved the whole biedermeier furniture I was in love with then....though I couldn't have afforded a single piece.
ReplyDeleteI got some ribbing from my FIL for those walls...oy! I think he thought I had lost my mind!
xx
