The Serene,The Sublime Alberto Pinto

This will be desert for your blogging eyes......
as my friend Maryanne from
says....in Paris ....'Fig' is all the rage.

I am taken back with his free spirit...
yet tamed enough to make a room into an art form.

on some lucky big, big, big boat

more yumminess on this big, big boat

This is so me. I love this.

Below is Alberto Pinto's home in Brazil

The textures and color he uses make want to be there.
It is so uncluttered and happy.

Do you have a favorite space
that this {genius} designer has done?
His work is a surprise.
How great is that???

  2. He is so crazy talented, brilliant, over the top and is doing VERY VERY well indeed... i am not sure if i could live in any of his spaces as they are a bit too theatrical for me but they are amazing to look at.

  4. I like the 'fig' rooms and the third picture is wonderful. It reminds me of Cocteau's Santo Sospir at Cap Ferrat. I also like the curtains there and the bed spread furthr down with appliqués. Alberto Pinto knows his history and his textiles!

  5. Our house in France could possibly be a mish mash of styles because we absolutely have to have a black and white staircase with touches of gold!!! You are going to have your work cut out Renee to make it work for us!!!!! xxx

  10. Renee,

We need diverse designers to learn from because given an array of projects in a different genre creates growth in us. This allows us to experience using a different part of our brain and free our inhibitions that cause limits to creativity.

So, through many design experiences be it: museums, indoor or outdoor art exhibits, gallery receptions, books and even images on tbe web we push our limits on design and clear out mental clutter on what works. Because really it ALL works depending on your perspective.

About Renée Finberg

I have been in this business since the age of 22.

I love what I do and cannot imagine my life without Design.

Design Challenges are great.

And because of those challenges

I have imported fine antique pieces from Paris,

Designed and Manufactured Furniture,

Created Fantastic Window Treatments,

And solved all kinds of spatial & architectural issues

With my unique style.

If I can't find it, I create it.

My rooms would make excellent movie sets.

I am a visual, tactile and audio sensitive individual.

Creating is what I live for, not math, not spelling, not science.

Just Great Design.

Just imagine how it would be if each of us,

If only for a few hours of everyday,We could be in a space that is our very own.A place that is exactly the way we want it to be

Surrounded by all the things we wanted to see,

The atmosphere we wanted feel, smell and the sound we wanted to listen to.
