Yes, I really like the look of the black door and trim with the cocoa walls. Very elegant and warm.
I keep thinking of painting my doors a dark color, but I am not sure. I have been told it is like the final touch, like mascara. It will complete your look.

Love it and I AM going to do it. Waiting for carpenter to come to install crown molding and then: paper hallway in a metallic ostrich wallpaper, black doors, trim and ceiling and leopard carpet. Somewhere in Kansas a 60 year old woman is about to bust a move!

Forgot to say that I love combining the browns with black, so sophisticated & sleek.
yes, i think that's why it works so well, black with the brown (or course black with white is a given).

I love it! I was thinking just the other day that I'd love to change the woodwork and windows in this house to black but what a job! They're all white! Our final house (yes, it's come to that time!) will either be natural wood or black; I think black.
