I don't know about you.....

But, I am absolutely IN LOVE with
the black door and trim in this room!!!
It is dramatic and elegant.
I want to do it.
And do it soon.

Your thoughts?

  1. Yes, I really like the look of the black door and trim with the cocoa walls. Very elegant and warm.

  2. I keep thinking of painting my doors a dark color, but I am not sure. I have been told it is like the final touch, like mascara. It will complete your look.

  3. Love it and I AM going to do it. Waiting for carpenter to come to install crown molding and then: paper hallway in a metallic ostrich wallpaper, black doors, trim and ceiling and leopard carpet. Somewhere in Kansas a 60 year old woman is about to bust a move!

  6. yes, i think that's why it works so well, black with the brown (or course black with white is a given).

  10. I love it! I was thinking just the other day that I'd love to change the woodwork and windows in this house to black but what a job! They're all white! Our final house (yes, it's come to that time!) will either be natural wood or black; I think black.

About Renée Finberg

I have been in this business since the age of 22.

I love what I do and cannot imagine my life without Design.

Design Challenges are great.

And because of those challenges

I have imported fine antique pieces from Paris,

Designed and Manufactured Furniture,

Created Fantastic Window Treatments,

And solved all kinds of spatial & architectural issues

With my unique style.

If I can't find it, I create it.

My rooms would make excellent movie sets.

I am a visual, tactile and audio sensitive individual.

Creating is what I live for, not math, not spelling, not science.

Just Great Design.

Just imagine how it would be if each of us,

If only for a few hours of everyday,We could be in a space that is our very own.A place that is exactly the way we want it to be

Surrounded by all the things we wanted to see,

The atmosphere we wanted feel, smell and the sound we wanted to listen to.
