Tight On Space

Need a shelf? Or another work surface?
See the 2 legged console braced on the wall?
I saw this and thought it was clever.
You can do this
with almost any sofa table or a console.
You simply remove the back legs & cut down on the depth of it until
you achieve the look and purpose you wish .

Is this too ornate for you?
Try this one.
This one will take a bit more work.
But it can be done.
I like this one....it has storage.
What do you think of this idea?

Head to a flea market this weekend.
Happy Hunting!

  1. You, darling Miss. Finberg, are terrifically observant! I love, love, love the look of the wall console. I will, as per your direction, happily hunt for one this weekend!

    Cheers!

  2. Love these consoles...

Also...if you need matching consoles, you can take a square table and cut it in half...voila! ~Terri

  5. Love this idea. I am working with a client who bought a wonderful game table with paw foot legs in a distressed painted finish at a flea market. It turned out we really didn't have a place for it so we cut it in half and attached to the wall on either side of their bed in the Master. It is one of her favorite things. First time here. Love your blog.

About Renée Finberg

I have been in this business since the age of 22.

I love what I do and cannot imagine my life without Design.

Design Challenges are great.

And because of those challenges

I have imported fine antique pieces from Paris,

Designed and Manufactured Furniture,

Created Fantastic Window Treatments,

And solved all kinds of spatial & architectural issues

With my unique style.

If I can't find it, I create it.

My rooms would make excellent movie sets.

I am a visual, tactile and audio sensitive individual.

Creating is what I live for, not math, not spelling, not science.

Just Great Design.

Just imagine how it would be if each of us,

If only for a few hours of everyday,We could be in a space that is our very own.A place that is exactly the way we want it to be

Surrounded by all the things we wanted to see,

The atmosphere we wanted feel, smell and the sound we wanted to listen to.
