Another Artists Studio....

That I would like to lease or buy.
For some weird reason I would like to live in this space.
Is it the white everywhere?
Is it because it looks like I would have more open space?
Maybe it is just the huge paintings.
The orange one.
I have had orange on the brain.
I need to use it in a project.
And I need to use it soon.

The stone walls painted over remind me of when I lived in Montreal.

The feel is beyond casual, which is very freeing.
It's like I am feeling inside.
Like I am 'verging'......
on a new creation.

Could you lay out projects here and do some work?
And then go to another part of this studio and relax, dine or sleep?
I would love to!!

Guest Blogger Buster Barman Is Back

Hi
I am Buster Barman
my dad is a super famous designer based in NYC
DUH....!

John Barman installed a retractable, floor-to-ceiling door between the previously boxy spaces of his 1,500-square-foot Miami Beach apartment to allow immediate ocean views from every room. In the living area, Barman placed Thonet chairs from the 1950s and vintage accessories.

My daddy is John Barman.
He recently designed our new home in Miami Beach,
it ended up on the September cover
of Architectural Digest.

That's my dad
John Barman,
 designer extraordinaire!

I think it is spectacular.
The colors are fun and happy.
Everything is bright and clean.
{i better steer clear of the carpets...or else}

This is where I hang out when my dad is entertaining.
The kitchen.
Occasionally someone looks the other way and I can
steel a tidbit or two.
Dad has hidden the sub zero behind cabinetry.
Do you like?
Architectural Digest did!

Another carpet to steer clear of!!!
...but it looks inviting.

Dad raised the ceilings in this room to 15 delicious feet.
How is that for a view?

This is the last room in the house to show you.
It is a combination office/guest room.
Lucky guests huh?
When dad is gone
I nap on this bed
and watch the action down on the beach.

Tonight I Am ...

Craving chocolate big time!!!
Unless I get up and get dressed and go to the store,
this will be a s close to chocolate as I will get.

I have been taking it a bit easy on the blogging scene for 2 days now.
I haven't been posting or commenting because
my right eye is red, painful. I have a touch of pink eye.
This is something I get off and on
because of my severe allergies here in South Florida.

I have hot compresses on my eye and and doing the medication thing as well.

xxx's sweet dreams

LETTING GO

Don't worry about losing.
If it is right, it happens -
The main thing is not to hurry.
Nothing good gets away.
~John Steinbeck, 10 November 1958

Wouldn't this be a good and healthy belief system to hold onto?

do you love this house?
I do.
It has been in my files forever
and I wanted to finally share it.

Great Beds - Built-In

I have always had a thing for built-in beds.
I still want my own.
This one would work just fine for me.
Is this not fabulous???

This is way too sweet for me
but it solves some problems.
The dresser is under the bed, and if you are tight on space
or would like to leave room for the kiddos to move around a bit.....
this is a great option

When I finally have a second home in a fabulous place....
I am going to make one of the guest rooms
with stacked built in beds on both sides.

I knew a woman in NYC who was a single mom.
She had a studio with an alcove {apartment},
and she did this in the alcove space for her son.
She slept in the living room.
This woman was very chic....
and managed to pull off her difficult situation beautifully.

This idea is fabulous.
You can make a room where there wasn't one.
If you had a loft....how great could this be???

Do you like BUILT-IN BEDS?

About Renée Finberg

I have been in this business since the age of 22.

I love what I do and cannot imagine my life without Design.

Design Challenges are great.

And because of those challenges

I have imported fine antique pieces from Paris,

Designed and Manufactured Furniture,

Created Fantastic Window Treatments,

And solved all kinds of spatial & architectural issues

With my unique style.

If I can't find it, I create it.

My rooms would make excellent movie sets.

I am a visual, tactile and audio sensitive individual.

Creating is what I live for, not math, not spelling, not science.

Just Great Design.

Just imagine how it would be if each of us,

If only for a few hours of everyday,We could be in a space that is our very own.A place that is exactly the way we want it to be

Surrounded by all the things we wanted to see,

The atmosphere we wanted feel, smell and the sound we wanted to listen to.
