One of my favorite things is ....

Swimming behind my mom's house in
Harrington Cove

Thisis the back of mom's house.

I am heading down the path
to the waterfront {Harrington Cove}
to see if the tide is too low.

Yep....too low.
But, if i wanted to go clammin' or digging for mussels...
I could.
But
I would rather not.
When it is low it is a muddy/sandy bottom.
yuck.

I came back later for my daily swim.....

I am in heaven.

How great is this???

Ok, Back uup tho the house for
rack of lamb & hand cut fries.

Poor, poor me!!!
heheheheheh

I am heading home tomorrow.
This has been a blissful trip and time spent with my mommy.
xx happy sunday

Day 'Two' With Mumzy

We started out in Tenents Harbor
having coffee and donuts. this nursury is just very cool.
like most everyone that I know here.
There is mom off in the distance having her cafe and do not donut.
She is blond, wearing a blue shirt.
I loved this place.
Years ago,
I bought my mom's allim bulbs here.

And look...they have those highly fashionable split trees.
These were 'Mcentosh' {sp??} apple trees
The next part of the routine is going to mom's favorite spots.
below is one of her very faves.

see the man in the distance?
he is touching up the paint...
that is what you see everyone doing around town.
because...the winter is always a' comin'.
I decided to take a fab shot for her to paint.

To the right of this light house,
this picture was taken.

Now we are approaching my favorite funky village.
Port Clyde...
It is just very isolated....and old

this is a view of the villiage from a slight hill coming into town.

The coolest general store...EVER.

xxx have a great week end  xx

It was bumpy getting here ....

but it was so worth it!!
Just to see my mom's smiling face and her excitement was worth the traveling.

From Boston airport I was sent over to this little bugger.
Which actually I rather enjoy.
It always makes a journey feel like you are heading for an adventure
to some far out of the way place.
I was sitting right next to this one and only escape door.
It might have been valuable if perhaps I had a parachute
in my huge handbag.
No worries.
They fly pretty low,
and I am a good swimmer.

One of the passengers sat next to the pilot.
I was in the third row - the last set of seats.
Very comfy.
No seat belts really...
something that resembled dental floss.

The first thing I needed to make clear was
that I wanted lobsta' for dinner...
several dinners.
So this morning we headed down the street
where mom lives and really got two gorgeous 2 pounders for $13 bucks.
Pretty sweet,
but not half as sweet as the meat on a super fresh lobster

See the pond in front of this house.
This lobsterman stores his catch in the cold pond.
Pretty convenient.

But we went down to the end -
our favorite lobster pound.
Yes, that's mom....
I was picking this gorgeous yellow
blooming moss on the rocks for my mom.
Only to transplant it on to her limestone rocks at home.

Here is the yellow moss.
I hope it takes.
This is where we got the lobsters.
I took a shot looking down to the dock.
It made me dizzy.

There is Terry our official lobster man.
and...he either had a terrible twitch in his eye,
or he was actually winking at me.

Then we drove into Rockland
and there was the weekly farmers market.
Very Folksy.
I liked it.
Everyone makes and sells organic.
We had the most fabulous salad
from the greens we bought
and brought home.....

But, nothing can beat these guys.
Yummers!!
oh ....i forgot
I woke up to fresh pop-overs.
Mom makes the best.
{sweeeeet}
toodles xxx

Not Just Another Upholstered Wall

This 1st image has all of what we like. Right?
Gorgeous upholstery and upholstered walls.
I think this room is terrific.

How do you like this room.
How do you like the acrylic table?

An onyx mantle works for me.

Unique, and I love.

I must admit,
I have copied this window treatment and seating arrangement,
when I found myself in the same architectural spot.
The monster sofa and draperies were really sharp.

It came out divinely.

Simply refined.

Loving this.

About Renée Finberg

I have been in this business since the age of 22.

I love what I do and cannot imagine my life without Design.

Design Challenges are great.

And because of those challenges

I have imported fine antique pieces from Paris,

Designed and Manufactured Furniture,

Created Fantastic Window Treatments,

And solved all kinds of spatial & architectural issues

With my unique style.

If I can't find it, I create it.

My rooms would make excellent movie sets.

I am a visual, tactile and audio sensitive individual.

Creating is what I live for, not math, not spelling, not science.

Just Great Design.

Just imagine how it would be if each of us,

If only for a few hours of everyday,We could be in a space that is our very own.A place that is exactly the way we want it to be

Surrounded by all the things we wanted to see,

The atmosphere we wanted feel, smell and the sound we wanted to listen to.
