Berlin - Concrete Walls

In the December 2011 issue of Ellle Decor
I found this couples home in Berlin

I have been researching on how to get this
BIG CONCRETE look on standard walls.

It has it's place....
and I feel  it can make a dynamic statement.

Check out the fireplace.
And those are poured and scored floors I think.

People....like me are being drawn to the warehouse/loft look.
I would love to do a space with these walls.
I will figure it out.
I will let you know when I find out how to do it.
Already I have found some wall coverings...
but, I have my doubts about it looking authentic.
And isn't everything really about authenticity?

Actually if I didn't tear up my elle decor mag to scan these pictures
I could really tell you what the floors are.
On closer examination...
they look like granite floors from large slabs.

At any rate I wanted to share these walls with you
and get your opinion.

SO?

kisses, Renee

Suspended Swinging Beds

elle?

I am fascinated by this concept.
I would love to do it for someone.

Don't you think
the idea of a swinging bed has an element of fun to it?
{although I would have to take Dramamine i think}

Alsace, France - Petite Venice

You know.....sometimes it is hard to come up with a fab post.
So.....I was surfing around and found a link that sounded intriguing

It all started with this link;

After I had collected so many pics....
and was saying to myself;
"I am not into this"
but it was too late.
I am on a tight time schedule.
I am at work and trying to attract new design clients.

This is where the little Venice is.
Gotta' tell ya'....
I am not into October fest!
And this part of France,
by the lack of perhaps one Village Up-Rising is French
instead of German.
I am not into COO COO Clocks or German village architecture.

But ,
I know more than a few of you will like this.
Hey!
Millions go to Disney World every year.
And it doesn't look too different than this.

I know I sound  SNARKY.
I am under a bit of pressure.

I am now wearing my 'nite gard'
during the day to keep from grinding my teeth to smither-reens.
Kidding.

But, I am tense.

SEE!
Doesn't that look like Disney?

Maybe I really should go there.....
it's in wine country.
You think I need some?????

I was all but 'October Fest-ed' out by the google images.

Pray for me!!!

hahahahahah
no really, Pray for me!!

The Serene,The Sublime Alberto Pinto

This will be desert for your blogging eyes......
as my friend Maryanne from
says....in Paris ....'Fig' is all the rage.

I am taken back with his free spirit...
yet tamed enough to make a room into an art form.

on some lucky big, big, big boat

more yumminess on this big, big boat

This is so me. I love this.

Below is Alberto Pinto's home in Brazil

The textures and color he uses make want to be there.
It is so uncluttered and happy.

Do you have a favorite space
that this {genius} designer has done?
His work is a surprise.
How great is that???
