Don't Buy Me This Ever

Not just because I find it to be extremely unappealing (translation : ugly), but because.....
It will melt here in Florida.
Just like me.
This is a horribly hot summer, and we have another 3.5 months to go!!

I want to be in Maine.............

Cheri, I Am On A Rant !

The Movie
I hope my mom sees this pic. My mom will want to paint it. In fact she painted my grandmother smelling roses in the same way.
This picture of Michelle Pfieffer, walking in a gown across the sand on the shore....is something I might do.... but, I would not look like that !
But how great is the feeling this image evokes ?
In this picture, I get the feeling she might be the sort of woman who throws caution to the wind.
And from the story line , ha ha , I think she does.

The headboard is Art Nouveau, I LOve , LOve LOve. (the railing in the 1st pic is too)
When I go to the movies....50 % of the time I don't care for the film....
But, No Worries....there are always the sets to examine under my mental microscope.

Ladies (and I use the term very loosely - lol )......you know you have to see this film.
Look at the architecture , the cars, the clothes etc, etc !!!!
And let's not forget how close up we can get to inspecting any 'WORK' that Miss Pfeiffer might have had since her last film. I know it is a ' Meow Meow' sort of remark, but hey....this is a minor sin. I am a designer, what do you expect ??? I am allowed, and often it is one of the ONLY PERCS in this business.
And , besides...I am just jealous.
Not to mention , I am pretty good at doing detective work on my computer....maybe I can find out who the plastic surgeon is if 'the work' is any kind of great.
And there is sex.
Look at the cast ! Look at the oriental black lacquered screen !
Do you think you would like to see this ? If you go, don't thank me.
Thank Heather @ Habitually Chic, I got the idea from visiting her.

P.S. sensitive readers, don't go getting all offended about my remark about 'Ladies'.
I say; " Loosen The Bone Wilma !!"
Lighten the heck up.
This blogging stuff is not supposed to feel like a science project.
It should on occasion make ME laugh !!

You Guys Always Do ' TABLE TOP THURSDAY'....

I am in love with this Chinoiserie Bed.....I might even do something unspeakable to acquire it. But, back to the ' table top' issue.....
Okay....the elite blogger's ( and I mean this in a GOOD WAY ) do 'Table Top Thursday'.
Carolyne Roehm
has given us some ideas for The Bedside Table Tops in our guests rooms.
These are so scrumptious.
Wouldn't you feel special with all this effort made for your arrival ??
Isn't that the point !! ???
I don't know...that's a lot of markers ?<":{
If I arrived and saw this, I would assume ( if visiting my mother) I would be put to work marking something....marking many, many things.

This one is ideal. It is such a pain to be a guest and have to ask for every little thing that you might need. That’s why my suitcase has to be HUGE.....it is packed with everything that I think I might ever need over the course of a lifetime.

Well.....it sometimes seems that way.

Carolyne Roehm's guest room ideas, read the complete article here.

HUH ?

CREAM LACQUER or BLACK
W54", D11⁄2", H72".

"This handsome, three-panel screen offers the perfect canvas for lacquer, a highly regarded art form used in China for over 6,000 years. 'No Name' uses true organic lacquer made of translucent sap collected from trees (rhus verniciflua) that are indigenous to East Asia. Hand-applying 60 coats of cream lacquer over each panel, and hand-sanding each layer in between, results in unmatched visual depth and richness. These irregularities allow light to dance off of each towering panel. The screen is finished on both sides and features white bronze hinges. Each screen is signed, numbered and dated."

So what do you think ?
Showroom List Price starting at: $5,990 USD*

Is this worth the money ???
How many do you think the showroom has sold this year ??

About Renée Finberg

I have been in this business since the age of 22.

I love what I do and cannot imagine my life without Design.

Design Challenges are great.

And because of those challenges

I have imported fine antique pieces from Paris,

Designed and Manufactured Furniture,

Created Fantastic Window Treatments,

And solved all kinds of spatial & architectural issues

With my unique style.

If I can't find it, I create it.

My rooms would make excellent movie sets.

I am a visual, tactile and audio sensitive individual.

Creating is what I live for, not math, not spelling, not science.

Just Great Design.

Just imagine how it would be if each of us,

If only for a few hours of everyday,We could be in a space that is our very own.A place that is exactly the way we want it to be

Surrounded by all the things we wanted to see,

The atmosphere we wanted feel, smell and the sound we wanted to listen to.

Private Paradise
