to pack a small bag, and make the drive from Manhattan to 

THE HAMPTON'S

 for the weekend..

This is a tiny Hampton home that was featured in 

Marie Claire Maison.

I SPY a zebra rug!!!! - love love love it.

You don't need too much of a kitchen 

to have a blast in the Hampton's.

'Nothing Fancy' is just right.

If you haven't seen 'Annie Hall ' (the movie) by now....

you need to.

It seems that odds and ends can make a beautiful summer cottage.

oh..............what fine memories I have.

I am just trying to not use my brain at all, 

unless it is absolutely necessary.

Some 'tedious' stuff has come up at work. 

I must take some crazy and seriously annoying online course for work.

Every time I look at my laptop I am reminded of this 'online course'...

which makes me feel all 'ticked off' inside.

I will be back when this is dealt with.

UGH!!!

so...........

I think I need to go see my horse tomorrow.

There is nothing like a warm nuzzle,

 and the smell of my horse 

to make me feel 

the way I want to feel 

all the time.

I have run into one of life's complications.

I am taking a few days off to clear my head.

I need to sort my mind and feelings out. 

I don't feel much like blogging about it quite yet.

Andi's Is Graduating Tomorrow And.....

Yep.....

the party is over.

But.... I am so proud of her!!!!
After Graduation she will be finishing up a commitment
at a summer camp this summer.
She loves being a counselor.
And then it is off to The Peace Core.
I am terribly proud of her.


During the height of the 1920s land boom, thousands of copies of this poster envisioning the future University of Miami campus were sent around the country to attract new residents to the new Miami sub-division of Coral Gables. 
University until very recently has been considered a party school.
In my life, when I was in High School on Miami Beach.....
That is where we went to get into trouble.
Miami Beach, Coral Gables, and Coconut Grove are all just about 20 minutes from one another.

Andi and her friends spent plenty of Thursday nights there.

The beloved 'CANES.'

Andi lived off campus and just down the street from the University.
In my favorite little town in the Miami area.
Coconut Grove.
The best, and the most beautiful little Village.
I would move back there for sure, you can walk to everything.
...I lived there for a year in the 70's.



More Grove...and just 1 block from whered Andi lives.

Not bad. Eh?

I am taking today, 
tomorrow (to attend the Graduation), 
and Saturday off for this amazing event.

I SPY - Something

And I would Like your thoughts on this matter.

His designs and application of hide to architectural panels, wallcoverings and rugs are phenomenal works of art that have worked their way into thousands of projects around the world. "

( that is quite a few dead animals)

Seeking inspiration in his studio outside of Austin, Texas, Kyle and his team of designers are constantly introducing new designs in hide that become more and more intriguing each season. "Reflect", recently introduced in cream, rita and azalea, screams Spring with its bright palette and drastic contrast in color. This is only one of many must-have designs for this season - just don't be surprised when guests walk around the rug instead of over it!"
* did they hear the screams of the animals going to slaughter to become their new hides to work with and be brilliant with?
What oh what will they not come up with to use flesh in different colors to make the hottest new spring rug collection. eh?
Have you seen what has been going on, and produced with synthetics these days????

I know, I know I sound like a hard ass vegetarian, I am not, but I should like to be.
It just seems so 1970's to be using 'skins' to decorate with.


What are your feelings on this?
