The Story Of Geese - You Really Need To Read This

I am going to share one of my very FAVORITE STORIES with you.
The Story of GEESE
Here goes;

Next fall, when you see Geese heading South for the Winter, flying along in V formation, you might consider what science has discovered as to why they fly that way:
As each bird flaps its wings, it creates an uplift for the bird immediately following.
By flying in V formation the whole flock adds at least 71% greater flying range than if each bird flew on its own.
People who share a common direction and a sense of community can get where they are going, more quickly and easily, because they are travelling on the thrust of one another.
When a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of trying to go it alone ... and quickly gets back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power of the bird in front.
If we have as much sense as a goose, we will stay in formation with those who are headed the same way we are.
When the Head Goose gets tired, it rotates back in the wing and another goose flies point.
It's sensible to take turns doing demanding jobs with people or with geese flying south.
Geese honk from behind to encourage those up front to keep up their speed.
What do we say when we honk from behind?
Finally...and this is important...when a goose gets sick, or is wounded by gunshots, and falls out of formation, two other geese fall out with that goose and follow it down to lend help and protection. They stay with the fallen goose until it is able to fly, or until it dies; only then do they launch out on their own, or with another formation to catch up with their group.
If we have the sense of a goose, we will stand by each other like that.

Don't you wish everyone you knew followed these kind, loving
and simple guide lines?
Wouldn't this world be a better place ?

Maps Maps Maps

I will never tire of them.
Old ones,
new ones....
Never will I be bored by what they bring to a room.

This I thought was BRILLIANT!!!

I adore this room.

....and of course the over used Paris Map wall covering can be found here;

This image had me at first glance but it does need a bit of tweeking.
The chesterfield sofa needs to be well worn. {no kidding}
The trunk needs to be L.V.
The table and lamp need work as well.

Do you not agree????

I loved this simply because of all the blue & green.
{the bed does sort of look like prison quarters though}

Hey,
get the kid started early.....
And this is a room one can grow into with a few furniture changes.

Don't you just love all the varieties???
Do you have a great idea in map application other than what has been shown in this post??
Do share with me.

Maps are the best.....
but let's not go crazy and build a 20 foot scale one!

OR

Maybe that would be just fine .....
it is all in the application.

NO?

What are your thoughts
my dear brilliant blogger friends ?

San Miguel de Allende - The Style Of It

I have always wanted to go to this town
San Miguel de Allende.
It is right in the middle of Mexico.

I adore the rustic
The textures
The weather 76 degrees most of the year,
and cooler at night.

Is this the most charming image?

Check out the rock planter on the floor.
I LOVE.

Paris Job for these designers.

When I see these images I want to move there all over again.
Expats from the U.S. and Canada fill the place.
It is supposed to be divine.
And right outside of the city is horse country,

I am dreaming.

What a view!!!

NICE!!!!

Do  You Want To Go ???
If I could, I would pack today and be gone.

xxxxx

Did you know of San Miguel de Allende before this post?

I hope you enjoyed this little peek into one of my favorite places.

Stylish Storage Ideas

Stylish Storage Ideas

I have never thought of using any of my useless candlesticks for this.
Have you ?
Bracelets on a stick!

I store my make-up brushes exactly like this.

This canister would work perfectly for my bobbies' and pony tail holders.
Oh....that's right.
I have no hair that will reach to a pony tail anymore.

Good Ideas?
What do you think?

You Are Not Alone In this....

for my friend R.P.
"Among other things,
you'll find that you're not
the first person who was ever confused
and frightened and even sickened
by human behavior.
You're by no means
alone on that score,
you'll be excited and stimulated to know.
Many, many men have been
just as troubled
morally and spiritually as you
are right now.
Happily, some of them kept records
of their troubles.
You'll learn from them -
if you want to.
Just as someday,
if you have something to offer,
someone will learn
something from you.
It's a beautiful reciprocal arrangement.
And it isn't education.
It's history.
It's poetry."

About Renée Finberg

I have been in this business since the age of 22.

I love what I do and cannot imagine my life without Design.

Design Challenges are great.

And because of those challenges

I have imported fine antique pieces from Paris,

Designed and Manufactured Furniture,

Created Fantastic Window Treatments,

And solved all kinds of spatial & architectural issues

With my unique style.

If I can't find it, I create it.

My rooms would make excellent movie sets.

I am a visual, tactile and audio sensitive individual.

Creating is what I live for, not math, not spelling, not science.

Just Great Design.

Just imagine how it would be if each of us,

If only for a few hours of everyday,We could be in a space that is our very own.A place that is exactly the way we want it to be

Surrounded by all the things we wanted to see,

The atmosphere we wanted feel, smell and the sound we wanted to listen to.
