The Many Styles Of ' A Design Genius '

Anthony Ingrao

It is my opinion that he can do anything related to interior design. His design mind has very few limits. And what he does.............he does better than most !

Black Lacquered walls...Divine.
Check out the layered fabrics on the window treatments.
So.........Classic.
Perfection.
When I  look at his ' Rustic ' interiors..I feel as though I am peaking into Henry Tudor's country get away.
You must enlarge this image and look at the dragon chandelier ( and very other detail ).

There is Greek key detail on the rustic cocktail.
I love it ...he sneaks in a bit of the ' classics '
The wild flowers are perfectly light for this room.
I have a complete 'design crush' on this man !

His shop is on my FAVE street in the city. EAST 64th.
Stop in at his shop, then walk west on E. 64th , cross 5 th. Ave, keep walking right into the ZOO.
Say ' hello' to the Seals for me.

Exposure And Travel Are Vital...

For Re-Fueling Ones Creativity.
Especially if you create for a living.

"Maureen Footer’s travel memories , including colors, culture and architecture influence her designs."

I love love love  this color scheme.  Do You Like It ?

I especially like the collection of identical mirrors grouped together in this way.
Doing something like this can solve a problem...
I have done this before, because I could get my hands on the right piece of art, in exactly the right size.
You can always use the mirrors grouped in a different configuration elsewhere in the house, once you have found the perfect item for over the mantle.
And, if you do not find it , well....
this would remain beautiful & timeless always.

Maureen Footer, a highly educated Interior Designer.

One of the many things she studied, was her first love interior design, graduating with honors, in 18th century interior architecture and furniture at the Ecole du Louve in Paris.

Tomato Bisque And Blue

,I have from most of my career stayed away from ' Blues.'
But this chair fabric reminded me of a job I did with a woman who lived in Nantucket.
She insisted on BLUE.
I squirmed in my seat and tried to talk her out of it...........no luck.
But, this is the exact color combination I used.
It ended up being one of my favorite color schemes.
The installation certainly was fun.
Nantucket is a world unto itself.
If you should ever go...bring the best camera you can get your hands on.
What do you think about this color combination ?

Caroline Roehm, a woman who creates beauty & magic. Everywhere.

I was drawn to this collection of images. I am a life long dog, &  horsewoman.
Boots & breeches, my all time favorite attire. And, to me the most comfortable.

Peonies........always.

May I Have an Ice Cream Please ?

Happy Mothers Day !
I am thinking today of the mothers that can not do the things they want to do for their children, for the constant lack of financial resources. I am not talking about any kind of extravagance. I am talking about simple things, like not being able to buy your child an ice cream cone, because you are watching every last dollar. An ice cream cone today costs about $ 3.00, and that is with no frills, no sprinkles, or chocolate coating. Imagine you have 3 children....

I am wishing for those in our country, and everywhere else that are suffering financially, that things will improve, and improve soon.
I am wishing , hoping, and praying for these mothers, and their children.
With perfect financial circumstances, life and every 'little thing' that happens during the course of a day can be difficult.
So, I pray that these mothers do not have to feel the pain, and the shame related to not being able to provide their child's everyday essentials. And to me.....an ice cream cone once in a while is a child's ' rite of passage' .
Is it not ?

Donate Children's Clothing.
Or maybe a woman's business suit, that you do not wear anymore....
Do what you can for those who are struggling...we all know someone who is.
And many are too proud to ask for help, they have never needed it before.

I have been in this business since the age of 22.

I love what I do and cannot imagine my life without Design.

Design Challenges are great.

And because of those challenges

I have imported fine antique pieces from Paris,

Designed and Manufactured Furniture,

Created Fantastic Window Treatments,

And solved all kinds of spatial & architectural issues

With my unique style.

If I can't find it, I create it.

My rooms would make excellent movie sets.

I am a visual, tactile and audio sensitive individual.

Creating is what I live for, not math, not spelling, not science.

Just Great Design.

Just imagine how it would be if each of us,

If only for a few hours of everyday,We could be in a space that is our very own.A place that is exactly the way we want it to be

Surrounded by all the things we wanted to see,

The atmosphere we wanted feel, smell and the sound we wanted to listen to.
