and I think each are delicious in their own way.

I noticed my first black residential house this year
while driving through Rockland Maine.
It was so sharp.

If this were mine...

I would have used a black and white awning over the door
trimmed with wood tassels.
Black and full of charm,
who knew???

Renee, an exterior in black is not something I have ever really thought of. Black Lacquer doors and shutters yes. Excellent examples for us...

It is very dramatic, and it largely depends on the architecture of the building...in some its actually quite spectacular in others its freaky and foreboding! Some of these are stunning...I have seen Adirondack style homes look amazing painted black, ditto NYC townhouses. Hope alls well......

Hi Renee, I have a friend who dresses completely in black, her home is decorated only in black with small touches of leopard and zebra...very dramatic! I like the house you chose above, still appears cozy ,inviting and classy....I think black is a great colour in home decor and fashion....looks like you are adjusting beautifully in Maine, keep well,N.xo
