Maine VS Florida

Well,
I am here.
No more complaining
about the humid sweaty Florida weather!!!!

It is dropping to 20 degrees F. tomorrow night.
:)      :(

I have been car shopping,
*job hunting
*getting my little dog Josephine adjusted
*getting myself adjusted
*painted my room
*trying not to eat all the uber fattening food my Mom makes
*drivers license
BLAH BLAH BLAH
It never ends....
and the movers haven't even arrived yet.
That will be a stressful {OMG} day!!!

Please have patients with me.....
I am emotionally exhausted and can not bring myself to blog right now.
...I need to get back to commenting .....
but
I am always so tired.

I send you love and thank you
for your emotional support
through these difficult times.
xxx

  1. You take your time and get settled in your new home, friend. You have been through it.
We will be here when you get back.

  2. Holy cow Renee. I have missed your last 3 posts. What the f--k have I been doing! I like your spunk, you would have flown through the fog yourself. After all, what's all that instrumentation for if not to tell you where you are? I am so happy you have finally arrived. Now it's time to take a comfy seat, take a deep breath and some introspection. Buy yourself a mediation tape, sort your shit out and get on with the rest of your happy life. This is gonna be great! It's where you are supposed to be. Bah, Florida schmorida, who needs ya!

Can't wait to see what comes next :-)

  4. You are on overload, it's no wonder you're tired, Renee. Take a few days off, enjoy time with your mom and anyway you can't go out in 20 degree weather can you? Take care of both of you + the doggie. Love....

  7. Renee just put one foot in front of another and as they say, repeat. You will get through your list; which will feel very gratifying. Then do treat yourself to Maine accessories, a wonderful throw, new gloves, a fab scented candle, etc.

  9. Our darling girl - just hang in there! In a few short months, all this horrible unsettlingness will just be a blur - and as Karen says, one foot in front of the other for now. The dancing feet can come later. xx

  10. Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life. Start your new life prudent step by step and don't forget the pretty little things around you. All the best

  12. I just wanted to let you know that I have been following your blog and "witnessed" many of your ups and downs. First with the challenges of your retail employer, next as you set out on your own and then the disappointment when you had to shutter your doors and finally as you made the difficult and brave decision to start fresh by moving to Maine.

I appreciate your honesty and candor and you inspire me with your courage and perseverance.

I just thought you might like to know.

  15. Renee,

All will be fine just one step at a time and at a slower pace for these days and weeks ahead...this is the best for all of you. It will all work out you've left so much in such a short time span allow yourself to catch up with the pace nature dictates for you. It is a month of Thanksgiving!

    Hugs to you and Mom

    xoxo

About Renée Finberg

I have been in this business since the age of 22.

I love what I do and cannot imagine my life without Design.

Design Challenges are great.

And because of those challenges

I have imported fine antique pieces from Paris,

Designed and Manufactured Furniture,

Created Fantastic Window Treatments,

And solved all kinds of spatial & architectural issues

With my unique style.

If I can't find it, I create it.

My rooms would make excellent movie sets.

I am a visual, tactile and audio sensitive individual.

Creating is what I live for, not math, not spelling, not science.

Just Great Design.

Just imagine how it would be if each of us,

If only for a few hours of everyday,We could be in a space that is our very own.A place that is exactly the way we want it to be

Surrounded by all the things we wanted to see,

The atmosphere we wanted feel, smell and the sound we wanted to listen to.
