'THE TRADE' Is Almost Ready....come look

I really want your opinion.
I am going through some real yucky stuff regarding my new showroom.

I know it doesn't look like there is much there.....
that is the yucky stuff I was talking about.

Claudia Strasser brought over her famous french chairs for the window.
Thank g-d for Claudia.
Claudia is my supportive angel
and we will be doing work together at the trade.
VERY EXCITING

I am trying to keep the palm beach vibe.....
hence the doggie bar {water}

What are your thoughts?

I am working my rather large tail off!
I should only end up with a much smaller tail.
....if you follow me

Verre Eglomise ....Once Lost But Found by Marian Ellner

What do you have to say on this matter?
Tell me,
I am curious.
And which do you prefer??  XX's

Verre églomisé
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bakery in Paris with Verre églomisé
Verre églomisé, from the French term meaning glass gilded, is a process in which the back side of glass is gilded with gold or metal leaf.
In one method, the metal is adhered using a gelatin adhesive, which results in a mirror-like, reflective finish in which designs are then engraved. The metal leaf may be applied using oil-based adhesives (goldsize varnish) to achieve a matte finish. The gilding may also be combined with reverse painting on glass.
The technique dates back to the pre-Roman eras, but its name is derived from 18th century French decorator and art-dealer Jean-Baptise Glomy (1711–1786) who is responsible for its re-popularization.
One of the key historical periods of the art was in Italy during the 13th to 16th centuries. Small panels of glass with designs formed by engraved gilding were applied to reliquaries and portable altars. The method used is described by Cennino Cennini. It has also been used throughout Europe since the 15th century, appearing in paintings, furniture, drinking glasses and similar vessels and jewelry. It is also often seen in the form of decorative panels of mirrors, clock faces, and in more recent history, as window signs and advertising mirrors.
Well known practitioners include Hans Jakob Sprungli (1559-1637) and Jonas Zeuner (1727-1814).

The Pierre ...Oh My Sweet Pierre!!

The Pierre is such a fashionable hotel.
Just for the Princesses & Prince's of this world.
Currently.

Straight to the watering hole after a long day of shopping.
This looks very good to me.

And then to the spa.
If I must!!!

The Pierre has a style for each of us....
traditional, or urban chic.
The Pierre has it all.

I remember when I was dining at The Pierre,
way back in the late 1970's.
There were NO CELL PHONES.
Remember?
But
at THE PIERRE waiters would come to the table and plug in a phone for you right at the table.
I thought it was unbearably chic.
And chic they still are.

I don't like this so much.....
but my best client loves it.

How would you like to give a little lecture here.
I would.

And one can never leave out ROMANCE when talking about
THE PIERRE!!!

It is here that
you would find me here with my laptop.

Gazing at this!!!!
Next to Paris....it is NYC.

Design Challenges are great.

And because of those challenges

I have imported fine antique pieces from Paris,

Designed and Manufactured Furniture,

Created Fantastic Window Treatments,

And solved all kinds of spatial & architectural issues

With my unique style.

If I can't find it, I create it.

My rooms would make excellent movie sets.

I am a visual, tactile and audio sensitive individual.

Creating is what I live for, not math, not spelling, not science.

Just Great Design.

Just imagine how it would be if each of us,

If only for a few hours of everyday,We could be in a space that is our very own.A place that is exactly the way we want it to be

Surrounded by all the things we wanted to see,

The atmosphere we wanted feel, smell and the sound we wanted to listen to.
