About Renée Finberg
I have been in this business since the age of 22.
I love what I do and cannot imagine my life without Design.
Design Challenges are great.
And because of those challenges
I have imported fine antique pieces from Paris,
Designed and Manufactured Furniture,
Created Fantastic Window Treatments,
And solved all kinds of spatial & architectural issues
With my unique style.
If I can't find it, I create it.
My rooms would make excellent movie sets.
I am a visual, tactile and audio sensitive individual.
Creating is what I live for, not math, not spelling, not science.
Just Great Design.
Just imagine how it would be if each of us,
If only for a few hours of everyday,We could be in a space that is our very own.A place that is exactly the way we want it to be
Surrounded by all the things we wanted to see,
The atmosphere we wanted feel, smell and the sound we wanted to listen to.
Private Paradise

Sorry sweet, I would put you out of work, I like classic, lived in, comfortable! But hey we even get sick of that if it is not changed a bit so I think you are safe after all!!
ReplyDeleteCould move into this place with ease.
Jules xx
hey jules,
ReplyDeletei am getting ready for work
as i write this,
(thank g-d i have work)
i am deciding what to wear....
the pirates outfit
or normal work clothes.
i'll see if i can find my eye patch and hook.
if i find them....
i will be a PIRATE!
xx
Gotta have both....classic without influence of new trends is a museum!
ReplyDeleteCa. 1980's saw an UNDONE gorgeous-fabulous home in House & Garden magazine.
ReplyDeleteHa, my introduction to Sister Parish.
Who knew, UNDONE, requires TALENT from the gods !!
Garden & Be Well, XO Tara
I prefer classics MIXED with a few trends here and there...switches it up a bit and creates a bit of interest. Are zebra hide rugs a classic? or a trend? ... I am looking to get a small one for my master bedroom or entry.... I like the "punch" or "pop" they give to a room......was wondering...
ReplyDeleteLove a mix!!
ReplyDeleteI try to stay away from trends. When everyone else is doing something, I walk the other way...
ReplyDeleteRenee,
ReplyDeleteAs 2011 approaches being a designer means to defy gravity. Self-structure means your disciplines are more than your even aware of and the true "magic" is the grace of silence and using it when needed. Renee, you are able to do both because the younger clients with money want trends and the older ones with money want classic design.
You can do anything and love it. Focus is the key and once held steady you defy gravity...it's as simple as that. Your ability to research, gain knowledge and perception of people's needs is powerful.
Happy Halloween!
Bette
Yes, idealyy that is soooo right, and soooo hard to do for some.
ReplyDeleteA well lived in, yet pulled together room that is not trying tooo hard is so hard to pull off!

ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween Renee
ReplyDeleteYes I think I would prefer classic.. at least in the fundamental core style .. one can always add and change trend pieces here and there.. But then I would prefer a lot of things.. like my own home.. haha
Love those living spaces and being a blue person.. love that too. Mirrors are fabulous!!
Have a great week.. and thanks for sweet comments. ciao .. meow!! xxx Julie
AT LAST,, THIS WAS JUST FABULOUS.
ReplyDeleteLOVE THAT SOFA BY THE BED.
MOM
julie,
ReplyDeletemeow baby,
MEOW!!!
Stunning images! Absolutely exquisite.
ReplyDeleteI tend to lean to the classic but now and then a little trendy piece added here and there.
Renee thank you for your comment on my blog and for leading me here to yours. What a wonderful place for inspiration it is! I have enjoyed several post and know I will continue to return.
ReplyDeleteThis house (in this post) is magnificent and I so appreciate the 'classic look' and agree with you that it can last for ever with out the need to update (other than for wear'n'tear).
The chesterfield in the bedroom is heaven. I so want one!!
Hope you had a fab and spooky Halloween! That cat looks like it would rather enjoy a bowl of blood than milk.. :)
Have a great weekend!
