A Seaside Inspired Apartment on The Westside Of NYC

Look at the glass shelves at either side of the sofa.....

they are vintage children's SAND PAILS.

I think this is fun and clever!!!

She even has a sailor art piece.

Red Rooms - Could You Have One?

I started off with my home office done in Chinese Red.

*Walls only*

all else was dark walnut with accents of olive green sofa etc.

Not to mention it was a true 'HUNT' room with huge fine oils of hunt scenes.

The riders wear red jacket...

they are leaping through the green forest....

you get the idea.

Besides this room being my office-

it was my favorite place to lock myself away in to watch a movie

or nap.

I would fall asleep immediately.

I love that room.

Dare I say what plain GENIUS red is with Zebra?

There is a certain coziness that red can give you over all other 

'neutral's .

I do consider it a High Brow gutsy NEUTRAL because

it is fabulous with golds, deep blues, creams, blacks, even dark dark shades of brown.

And of course....never forget green.

It can certainly be funky!

I am not opposed to a red kitchen either....

mixed with gold/yellow, black & cream.

These cabinets are a happy change from what is it out in the design scene at the moment.

Would you try just one red room to start ???

I did, and I ended up with two.

...LOVE THEM BOTH!!!

Rotating Kitchen - Red Dot Award Winner

How about a kitchen for a small space ?

Do you have 6 feet ?

and the it will completely close shut.

And yes it comes in other colors...

and other styles.

I thought this was pretty brilliant.

This company; CC Concepts LTD won the 'red dot design award' for this product.

It's German so you know it is quality.

Imagine the possibilities.

Dog Love

It seems that 'dog love' 

is all I really need to get through these trying days of packing for my move to Maine.

I am grateful for my 'dog' {youngest daughter}.

A Great Garden Wagon

If I could find a great garden like this.....

Apple Ice Cream Cups For Ice Cream

Hollow out apples and bake with cinnamon and sugar inside. 

After its done baking, fill with ice cream and caramel sauce.

.

I am not a huge apple pie fan.....

but

throw in ice cream and caramel sauce

then add

whipped cream.

This becomes  another story altogether.

And after all I will try anything if the presentation is inviting.

So, here is your starter kit!

....if you wanted to get fancy you could always apply ribbons and studs,

or paint it with eatable paint. Who knows how far you can go?

And add a small pedestal.

After all...

what would the chef at Palace of Versailles do???

CRAZY Right????

But I bet someone tries it!.
