The Story Of Geese - You Really Need To Read This
About Renée Finberg
I have been in this business since the age of 22.
I love what I do and cannot imagine my life without Design.
Design Challenges are great.
And because of those challenges
I have imported fine antique pieces from Paris,
Designed and Manufactured Furniture,
Created Fantastic Window Treatments,
And solved all kinds of spatial & architectural issues
With my unique style.
If I can't find it, I create it.
My rooms would make excellent movie sets.
I am a visual, tactile and audio sensitive individual.
Creating is what I live for, not math, not spelling, not science.
Just Great Design.
Just imagine how it would be if each of us,
If only for a few hours of everyday,We could be in a space that is our very own.A place that is exactly the way we want it to be
Surrounded by all the things we wanted to see,
The atmosphere we wanted feel, smell and the sound we wanted to listen to.

SO right with the geese story. Thanks for life lesson and teaching me that we should all be kinder to those who honk from behind. :)

A very poignant story Renee. I live in an area where there are a lot of geese. There are a couple of small lakes and a walking trail across the way. I love to see them flying; however they do not leave in the winter anymore. Global warming? I don't know, just that they stay in Kansas City all winter long!
ReplyDeleteWe do need to be more like them just as the story suggests!

ReplyDeleteisn't it the most beautiful???

Having the sense of a goose? Too cute, Renee. Sadly, most humans think too hard and fail to realize what is instinctive in foul & animals. Big mistake! Love one another, that is what HE told us to do, the only thing said from the cross.

I loved this story. This reminded me of a story about two geese in world war II. I can't remember the book, but it was a classic. Now I will go crazy trying to remember the name.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this.

ReplyDeleteLa Petite Gallery - was it The Snow Goose? The sweetest, saddest story by Paul Gallico?
ReplyDeleteRenee have you ever watched team cycling? Le Tour de France? That is exactly how they ride and win. Teamwork will always take you further than running alone! Hugs Jules xxx

instead of 'just life'.

Especially amazes me in traffic, now with hi gas, how people won't let people in & blah-blah.
ReplyDeleteIf we don't help our fellow drivers we ultimately hurt ourselves with more gas usage.
Really ironic when it's a Prius owner driving like an A@#H*&^.

This is INCREDIBLE. I am fascinated and in awe and now they are welcome to my propoerty anytime...lol! Boy could we learn from them as a society is right. I am copying this and emailing this to my email list...I think this is something every one should know. Thanks Renee!
ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant analogy Renée.....we really should all live our lives in formation....the geese have really got it right. XXXX
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful analogy, Renee. I love this story and love what you are saying.
ReplyDeleteWe do need to hold each other up when needed, and I believe that is what all good friends do. Any thing shy of this is an acquaintance.
Thank you for sharing.

I love the sound of honking geese. It makes me stop whatever I am doing, and relish this incredible sound. Now, it means more than ever. Thank you, Renee.

So I will appreciate it next time someone calls me a Silly Goose :)
ReplyDeletebesitos, C
notes from abroad,
ReplyDeleteyes, when someone calls you a silly goose....
consider it a compliment!!

Lovely story! Silly geese are not so silly after all... I was just reading a story about the Amish community and they are very much like that. Their decision to adopt and adapt any given technology is decided as a community and with the community first and foremost in mind. Our society is one of individualism and we can all see how well that is working... sarcasm.
ReplyDeleteI have always liked this story. Thanks for reminding me of it.
ReplyDeleteGreat uplifting story! Birds are amazing creatures!
