Fashion Is Home Fashion
About Renée Finberg
I have been in this business since the age of 22.
I love what I do and cannot imagine my life without Design.
Design Challenges are great.
And because of those challenges
I have imported fine antique pieces from Paris,
Designed and Manufactured Furniture,
Created Fantastic Window Treatments,
And solved all kinds of spatial & architectural issues
With my unique style.
If I can't find it, I create it.
My rooms would make excellent movie sets.
I am a visual, tactile and audio sensitive individual.
Creating is what I live for, not math, not spelling, not science.
Just Great Design.
Just imagine how it would be if each of us,
If only for a few hours of everyday,We could be in a space that is our very own.A place that is exactly the way we want it to be
Surrounded by all the things we wanted to see,
The atmosphere we wanted feel, smell and the sound we wanted to listen to.
Private Paradise

I have always been so intrigued by the level of detail that goes into these garments. I had to make some costumes for the Scarlett Pimpernell for my daughters school play 2 years ago. It took months to make 10 costumes but well worth it.

Drooling over these images Renee! The hat is the most beautiful assortment of luxurious textures and colours, and your stand up collar coat thing is well,,,would "sumptuous" be a good adjective?
ReplyDeleteI am often inspired by fabric, either on the bolt or made up into clothes, and use that as a jump off point for a scheme.

ReplyDeleteit is pretty wild how you can see a few colors together on a bolt, on a jacket,
on a pair of shoes,
in a garden and suddenly you are no longer 'stuck.'

This is a good reminder that inspiration for home decor doesn't always have to come from a paint chip or a magazine. I'm planning to decorate my daughters' bathroom with a "Breakfast at Tiffany's-Audrey Hepburn" theme, because we love the Tiffany blue and Audrey is such a great idol and role model.
ReplyDeleteRenée, thanks for the kind comments you left on my blog. I hope your client gets inspired to create her custom bathroom. The cost often seems prohibitive at first, but when you realize it is for the long term, go for quality and for what makes you happy. It is well worth it and you will get that value back in terms of resale and longevity both design wise and maintenance wise.
They are all so lovely but that one pale aqua concoction with the gold brocade is so over the top gorgeous I can only imagine the outrageously gorgeous room that could be inspired by such a beauitful creation! All stunning however..makes a boring white room suddenly looking well very vanilla!
ReplyDeleteOh Renee, I just want to wear them all !!!! These clothes are so ME.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the chicken soup comment.....I think that I might be able to do a post soon. Thanks so much for being a wonderful blogging buddy and sticking around. Much love. XXXX
I like the Hunt colors too.

Wonderful images. I think the textures are just as important as the colors and would love a room inspired by the Poirt turban... for a start.
