there are signs of life ....
the trees are sprouting tiny chartreuse leaves.
The forsythia are just now starting to bloom.
The tulips are beyond confused
And so am I.
Not a cloud in the sky.
Sun.
Warmth.
I really thought that I had died and gone to heaven.
my girl JOEY |
Yes.
It was a good day.
One of the best that I have had since my move here.
The next day I worked in the yard with my mother
and it was a typically dismal and chilly.
We mulched, raked leaves and planted.
The very next day was Saturday and I went to work,
and at work I wear an orange apron.
I guess things could be worse.
Really? Could they?
I began to wait on a man,
he looked so familiar to me { I never forget a face}
so I asked him where he was from.
He said " Boca Raton Florida"
and at that very second I knew where I knew him from.
He looked at me and said;
" Oh, You're the girl with the little showroom in Royal Palm Plaza"
I quickly looked around for a rock to crawl under...
I said yes, "How nice to see you again."
I felt like I needed to explain myself....
Why was I up here, why was I working at a big box store
wearing and orange apron....
I wanted to tell him
that I was
in the witness protection program!!!
I didn't.
Anyway, I have more to tell about a man in my life, I will tell more later.
I Hope all are doing well and having a great summer.

ReplyDeleteObviously I have missed a lot over the past year! I'm off to learn all about it but it lovely to see you are still here and I have missed you but depression is a funny thing and one tends not to care about anything or anyone but that is all behind me (I hope) and with acceptance comes a desire to enter the human race and my blogging friends once again. I missed you my lovely friend Jules xx
ReplyDeleteIam so happy to hear you are settling in Renee.
ReplyDeleteI laughed out loud at your story. YOU do not need to explain yourself to anyone...life is a challenge for everyone. You are rebuilding your life and making something wonderful, not to mention that you get to spend lots of time with your mom!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week. I am looking forward to hearing more!
I had a good chuckle at this Renee :-)
ReplyDeleteAll sounds good, you seem to be finding your moxie.
I'm intrigued about the "man". Do tell more.
