Happy Mothers Day !
I am thinking today of
the mothers that can not do the things they want to do for their children, for the constant lack of financial resources.
I am not talking about any kind of extravagance. I am talking about
simple things, like not being able to
buy your child an ice cream cone, because you are watching every last dollar. An ice cream cone today costs about $ 3.00, and that is with no frills, no sprinkles, or chocolate coating. Imagine you have 3 children....
I am wishing for those in our country, and everywhere else that are suffering financially, that things will improve, and improve soon.
I am wishing , hoping, and praying for these mothers, and their children.
With perfect financial circumstances, life and every 'little thing' that happens during the course of a day can be difficult.
So, I pray that these mothers do not have to feel the pain, and the shame related to not being able to provide their child's everyday essentials. And to me.....an ice cream cone once in a while is a child's ' rite of passage' .
Is it not ?
Donate Children's Clothing.
Or maybe a woman's business suit, that you do not wear anymore....
Do what you can for those who are struggling...we all know someone who is.
And many are too proud to ask for help, they have never needed it before.

Wonderful post... the next time you are at the grocery store and you see a young child wanting grapes or an orange and you hear their mother say "no, put that back" because she cannot afford it, offer to buy the item for the child or even better, buy all of her groceries. I promise you will feel so good about doing this! Happy Mother's Day to all Mother's!

ReplyDeleteThank you, Renee for always keeping it real and reminding me to be thankful for what I have.
ReplyDeleteThings are not what they used to be, but we are still so much more fortunate than many.
Have a wonderful Mother's Day.
