A Sea Captains House in Nantucket

Since I live in a coastal town 'DOWN EAST' in New England
I was drawn to these adorable nautical knobs.
I looked for the source but could not find it.
(I did however find a rope pull at Anthropology)

I love the tall thin mirror above the sink.

What do you think of the rosie terracotta paint color?
I think it is great.

The designer has done a fabulous job bringing in contemporary
touches to this traditional home.

What is it about painted floors that is so charming?

Above are the rope pulls that I found.

I am trying to get back into the swing of blogging again.
I need to start talking to you again about what is really going on....
but are you ready ?
Am I ?

love to all my blogging friends

  3. well i don't know about you renée, but we are ready for you to jump back in.

With the knobs, perhaps they had them custom made??? They are gorgeous...though not sure how practical they would be in a messy kitchen like mine, but for a fastidious cook they would be gorgeous. x

  4. Glad to see you back blogging. I have my moments of taking time off, but then I begin to miss it. I live in Delray and perhaps we can meet when season starts.

  5. That knot reminds me of the white braid bracelets they used to sell in Key West..
They are nice in the bath. Love the pumpkin pine floors that are painted.
Hope you feel better soon, the blue berries will be ready for pickin,
