Falling In Love With ORANGE

This setting and toile is me!!

Love this!
Orange and Orange Red are my favorites.
I had a deep orange red office at home with a big cushy olive green sofa,
and the case goods were all dark.
This was the coziest room in the house.
It was my favorite place for a nap and watching movies.

About FALLING......
it has been a mild October,
and so beautiful.
When driving to work
the trees seem to be lit from the inside.
It is gorgeous.

We have had very little rain .....
but it is coming.
November is when all the trees will lose their leaves.
I am not looking forward to the bare and grey days.

Perhaps an orange suit would cheer me up when it becomes dull.

Fall is G-d's last kiss of the year.

A few paint choices .....

I just adore orange & black.
This secretary is sharp.

I think I have Halloween in my blood.
It is my favorite holiday.

Or maybe it's too much Hermes in my blood.

Divine Perfection

I do love orange and fuschia ( hot pink will work as well).

Another gorgeous toile.

Just a note:
Your moods are often affected by the fall season and Indian summers.
At the bottom of this post are a few interesting links about this topic.

A very happy little room.

This is not as rich as the room I describe below.

When I was a little girl of about 6 years,
I was in one of my parent's friends houses....
I can still remember her living room -
it was all in very deep chocolate
(with mixed textures of velvet, and grass clothes)
with touches of very deep yet bright orange .
I can remember standing there and thinking.....
"I love this!"

Great door and great tiled entrance.

This is delicious.

How do you feel about the FALL?

Do you like orange?

The Harvest And The Moon In Maine

A local Harvest Moon shot taken here in Maine.
You should have seen it over the ocean ,
with the dozens of sailboats still moored in our harbors.
It was gorgeous.

I am adjusting to my first few weeks of full time work....
I am just now feeling better about it.

I have never punched a 'time clock' in my life.
The punching of 'the time clock' is a complete post all by itself.

Anyway......this is what I did on my day off with my Mom.
We drove to Beth's Farm in Warren Maine.
The drive there was gorgeous.....
rolling hills, horse farms, and agriculture farms.
I LOVE ROLLING HILLS!!!!

I dream of what it would be like to ride my horse on those hills,
and through the meadows which are still filled with field flowers.
He would have loved that!!!

Back to the harvest.....
PUMKINS.

Indian Corn
The corn looked like hundreds of garnets.
Beautiful.

The last time I saw brussel sprouts like this
I was in Paris.

And I actually grabbed an apple off a tree.
It was yummy.
Now I can say that I have picked apples......well, one apple.

And we have wineries here too.

I love beets.
Everything is fresh off the farm....
like in back of this building.

They even have hay for the horse farms.

Aren't these adorable ?

We drove to lunch past this lake.
There are bazillions of lakes and rivers here.

Have a lovely weekend.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the fall season.

Wood, Stone, Marble, Concrete & The MICHAEL FULLEN DESIGN GROUP

There is just something about CUSTOM doors,
and everything else that is custom.

It's CUSTOM!!!!!

Made for a special use or effect.
(that almost certainly wouldn't fit in another place
and or would be useless anywhere else)

LOVE THAT!!!!

I am really into this type of paneling.

The wood wall above most certainly has storage behind a few of the panels.
It is so clean, yet has texture and warmth.

Contemporary can definitely rest the eye.

Concrete.

Details.

This kitchen is so inviting.
Love it.
(but I am not loving the accessories or the pendants)

Tailored perfectly.

Marble/onyx
makes a lovely 'anything.'

Tall Ships in Camden Maine on Labor Day 2013

Tall Ships in Camden Maine on Labor Day 2013

I thought I should share with you just one of the amazing areas in
Mid-Coast Maine where I am living.

Camden is about 15 minutes from where I live.
There is always something going on there.
....and the shops are fabulous.

These images were all taken a few days ago,
when it wasn't raining
The weather was perfect to view the harbor filled with historical tall ships.

I think you will see why I love Maine.
BTW
Camden Maine is the most photographed city in the United States,
other than NYC.

Behind the lawn that I am standing on
s a spectacular venue for small concerts.
It is under a canopy of trees.

The seating is a terraced lawn with huge granite rocks for seating,
and from those seats you can see the performers
and you can see the harbor behind the performers.
It is truly glorious.

Hope your holiday was wonderful.

About Renée Finberg

I have been in this business since the age of 22.

I love what I do and cannot imagine my life without Design.

Design Challenges are great.

And because of those challenges

I have imported fine antique pieces from Paris,

Designed and Manufactured Furniture,

Created Fantastic Window Treatments,

And solved all kinds of spatial & architectural issues

With my unique style.

If I can't find it, I create it.

My rooms would make excellent movie sets.

I am a visual, tactile and audio sensitive individual.

Creating is what I live for, not math, not spelling, not science.

Just Great Design.

Just imagine how it would be if each of us,

If only for a few hours of everyday,We could be in a space that is our very own.A place that is exactly the way we want it to be

Surrounded by all the things we wanted to see,

The atmosphere we wanted feel, smell and the sound we wanted to listen to.
