Ugh...yes EVERY SINGLE ONE!! This place is incredible, we were there about 3 years ago for my nephews wedding, they rented the most magnificent home which looked a lot like this one and needless to say it was an incredible weekend, this is such a gem of a place, an old Colonial town virtually untouched. Highly worth going out of your way for.....
ReplyDeleteRenee,
ReplyDeleteNice to be in a place where everything is older than you and aged is something to be cherished celebrated and enjoyed. Lovely post!

San Miguel is totally charming. There used to be a train from the Texas border that you could ride there. With very careful reservations you could get a very nice sleeper car... some of the people that were on my trips thought they had reserved a sleeper car... but were unpleasantly surprised to find out they had to sleep upright in the regular passenger sections. The very first car in the train had only wood benches along the sides that the locals would sit on with their chickens and all as, the train made its many stops along the way...
ReplyDeletetaking a train makes the trip sound all the better to me.
Deletei love a good train ride~~~~especially with a nice or even decent sleeping car.

This post certainly made me want to jump in head first! Just gorgeous! Trying to find a place for our 30th Anniversary…maybe I should show this to Jim! I just might! Thanks for sharing it!
ReplyDeleteRenee-
ReplyDeleteI love these images. I had to look at the first image to make sure it wasn't a painting! I love the quatrefoil on the stone wall!
I hope that all is well with you, friend.
Happy Monday.
