Since my childhood....
this is my favorite candy.
It's hard to find.
This is my perfume most days!
It smells like my favorite candy.
My grandmother grew African Violets in her kitchen window sill.
Happy memories...

Renee...this is a wonderful ode to violets! I never knew about Chopin's love of violets, how sweet of 'George' to do that for him. There is a lovely article in an old Victoria magazine about her and the beautiful home they shared in France...I look at it often, it's beautiful...this little tidbit should have been in it, and since your request for the same is in writing now...I'm sure it will happen!
ReplyDeleteViolets are starting to pop up everywhere here...whith daffodils mixed inbetween...very pretty & springy! I must now hunt down those candies...I've never tried a violet candy, it would be fun to have a taste.
Such a sweet post!
