Indian Summer Is On It's Way

Relish the last morsels of summer....

Embrace the weeding....
be grateful for the sore knees and back aches.

When I lived in NYC right around mid August I would get a little blue....
because the cool relief of a breeze would wash over me and I would know

summer was coming to it's end.

But then we will have glorious Indian Summer!!!!
And how GLORIOUS the changing red leaves are!

Have a great day.
I will, I am determined to have a great day.

  1. How absolutely wonderful, your Indian summer means our Spring is just around the corner! This has, without a doubt, been the greyest winter I have ever known and I look forward to some sunshine with a little summer rain (That's for the farming folk!) xx Jules

  2. I know, I was at the pool yesterday and while it was hot as blue blazes, there also was a feeling in the air that summer was slowing closing out. Maybe because school begins next week and fewer people are the pool, who knows. Love the photos you featured - Indian Summer is a beautiful thing. :)

  5. Saying goodbye to summer is always very hard for me. I love it but I love fall too (everything but school which equates to driving, schedules and stress) that last picture is so beautiful it almost has me excited for fall. Almost:)

  8. Renee,

I enjoy summer but I love, love, love fall. October born so when it starts to get colder I feel refreshed. Fab shots...all of them.

  10. Sigh! I love, love, love summer and I think it should last another couple of months. Every year, I dread winter. I love not wearing socks, I live in sandals from May to October, I love wearing light clothing and just be able to grab my purse and leave. Can't wait to be an old lady so we can spend half the year down south!

  11. De tout, de rien.
    oh nooooo
you won't feel that way when you really have to live in heat-
    like this heat.
you will miss looking dressed and pretty-
instead of feeling sweaty and dirty all the time
