Imagine the possibilities....
Here are some examples of applications you can do with this strings fabric..
They would make very chic room dividers.
Don't you think?
And this stuff is $$ inexpensive.
Imagine the possibilities.....
The only reason I know about it is because some ' South- eees' came in and asked for them.
(South-eees: South Americans - we have a great deal of them)
I found the fabric, or string fabric that they desperately wanted.
There is one problem for me......
they only make WHITE, I want eggshell.
I feel that bright white is harsh.
But I was still excited about this.
What are your feelings on these string fabrics.
Where might you use them?

Renee, I really like it. I have seen something like it years ago done in beautiful draperies /window treatments. It was beautiful. It was also in different shades. let me know how this goes..
ReplyDeletebtw
ReplyDeletei don't love it.
i can see it in certain applications.
Renee,
ReplyDeleteI think it would be great used in showcase houses and hotels. Not a lot of everyday use but lots of exposure by the public to the airy effect it creates. I like off white also.

kinda cool. potential. i have a chandelier that has a black string shade with hanging crystals in the middle that fall a little below the shade. makes for an interesting reflected stripey shadow wall pattern.
ReplyDeleteHey cutie...years ago (& I mean YEARS) I had an office with chain-mail like draperies, very high ceilings & 3 narrow windows, very effective, wowed everyone which was what was wanted by my Texas Tycoon Billionaire boss. These strings look like commercial installation art almost. xx's
ReplyDeleteNice to look at...wouldn't want to deal with tangles, knots, etc!
ReplyDeleteHow are ya Girlie?

Interesting treatment... could be an alternative to the gauzy linen... I just don't think it would have a very lasting appeal...
ReplyDeleteNot for me! But I told you that when I saw them in person - what are these people thinking when they asked you for this? Very South Beach, in the moment, not classic and enduring.
ReplyDeleteHi. Thanks for sharing. I'm working on a restaurant project. Maybe I could use them there. Hope you are having a great and restful weekend.
ReplyDeleteI have a string "curtain" in my kitchen, but with "cristal" beads which sparkle when the sun comes peering through and also when the lights are on in the evening! Have a great week Renee.
