A Georgian Horse Farm

A FAMILY BUILDS A HORSE COUNTRY HOME THAT SAVORS THE PAST

I have loved the Georgian era most of my life.
So much so, that I gave my beloved horse the show name of
'Georgian Gentleman.'

His barn name is Hershey. A barn name is what you call him all the time.
The show name is what is announced over the loud speaker when you and your horse enter the ring at a horse show for competition..

I just love this living room.
I would love to get dirty at the barn, then clean up and spend time right here.

Or here.

....And definitely here.
But, is this too formal for you?
I like 'formal', I just like it best while wearing jeans and a tee shirt.

I am still looking for the horses in this feature.......

But......

Because it is a Tuesday today,

I am off to work with and play nice with my co-workers at the showroom.
It is a fabulous  'cast of characters' , (with me included).

Have a great day. xx

  1. It's probably too formal for me..., but true, if I can wear jeans and T then it's good. Your horse is gorgeous, as elegant and noble as the rooms.

  2. I would so love to live in a Georgian home just once with all of it's formality. So regal & fine. Your horse is gorgeous. I haven't ridden a horse in so many years it's mind boggling. Hope your Tuesday was a great one & everyone played nicely? Thinking about you ~ xX

  3. Georgian houses are so beautiful. They have much simpler lines than the Victorian rera and were so much more elegant.(even though I live in a Victorian house !!!! but mine is Art Nouveau so it isn't as heavy as early Victorian).
What a beautiful horse, Renee. There is something so beautiful about a horse...but then you would agree !!!! Is that you in the photograph ? You look fabulous !!!!
I was thinking.....when Lunatic and Medusa start getting annoying, you should imagine them both in one of those tutu's. hahahahahahaha. XXXX

  7. This is the exact "dream" horse farm in my mind Renee. Beautiful home and grounds. Adore Georgian style, sometimes adore formal and adore your photo of Hershey kissing you! I just bought an English saddle....I still don't see how you ride in them! Learning to post right now! It's hard! Bet Lunatic is not only jealous of your selling savvy but also your great looks too! Have a great day!
