Exposed...

Walls.
I lived in Montreal for 9 months, it was so cold in February that I ended up down here in Florida.
And Florida is hotter than ' you know what !'

Anyway, I adored old Montreal, and many of the buildings had exposed brick , stone, or granite on the interior walls.
I miss that. I was crazy about it !!!

  1. I've always loved the look of exposed walls. The one downside to new construction (which I live in)...it's expense and a lot of work to create that! (BTW, appreciated your article about the workroom...you're so right.)

  2. I really like the warmth of the exposed stone or brick wall. It is so southern carriage house to SoHo loft.

I like the look with the exposed walls inside too. For me, it brings an old world feel and hads warmth to a room.

  6. Very cool and charming to have stone or brick on interior walls, BUT I could not take the cold. Florida IS hot, but the sunshine is priceless! Have a great weekend, Renee! XO
