Walls.
I lived in Montreal for 9 months, it was so cold in February that I ended up down here in Florida. And Florida is hotter than ' you know what !'
Anyway, I adored old Montreal, and many of the buildings had exposed brick , stone, or granite on the interior walls.
I miss that. I was crazy about it !!!

I've always loved the look of exposed walls. The one downside to new construction (which I live in)...it's expense and a lot of work to create that! (BTW, appreciated your article about the workroom...you're so right.)
ReplyDeleteI really like the warmth of the exposed stone or brick wall. It is so southern carriage house to SoHo loft.

I like the look with the exposed walls inside too. For me, it brings an old world feel and hads warmth to a room.

ReplyDeleteVery cool and charming to have stone or brick on interior walls, BUT I could not take the cold. Florida IS hot, but the sunshine is priceless! Have a great weekend, Renee! XO
