The Eden Roc On ' Millionaires Row '

This is my favorite lobby. They have maintained the integrity of the original design. Thank G-d ! Because ,when I was very little , before I knew I was a designer, this place always had me at ' hello'. I used to sit in the lobby and look at every detail,
I was about 9 years old.
I spent almost every Saturday here ( with my best friend Sandy Marigo), because we would ice-skate next door at The Fontainebleau. Then we would eat at the Eden Roc because they had better milk shakes and fries.

I can tell you first hand that The Spa at the Eden Roc is sublime. The best I have been to. I am no professional spa critic.....but, trust me on this one.
Below are some of the guests, artists who performed at the Eden Roc, and a sampling of the 'hanger outers'.
It is said that Nat King Cole wrote the song here.

In case Ed Sullivan was before your time....................

Let me tell you..............growing up in Miami Beach was exciting, as far as ' showbiz' goes.
And food, let's not leave out the great food.

I spy Henny Youngman, Jerry Lewis, a young Andy Williams, Milton Berle........

You can see me , I am the one with the Big Blonde Hair on the beach.
I can't help having big hair, I was born in Houston Texas ! :0

The junior high school that I attended was right behind these buildings. It was called Ida M. Fisher Jr. High.

I have never had a cupcake like a ' Yankee Doodle ' !! It was made in an open air bakery at the end of this block, and across from the school. We would go after school and fight over who would get the last one. But, we had to be quick about it, or the bus would leave.
You can find this fellow in South Beach too.

And this fellow as well.
Have a great weekend ! xx
