Boothbay Harbor - Maine's Fairy Festival

First you have to get to Boothbay Harbor, Maine. (about 2.5 hours from Boston)

Here are just a few snaps of  Boothbay Harbor.

After you are done dining and shopping......

... and sightseeing...

...you can drive to the Fairy Festival right outside of Boothbay's Harbor.

LOCATED AT:
Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens
(one of the best in the country)

HERE COME THE FAIRIES!

Here in Maine we actually have a Fairy Festival
where the children listen to Fairy lectures,
watch short films and then......

the children build fairy houses!!!

Here are some examples of Fairy Houses that they build.

I remember when I was a kid.....
I would have wanted to build a few myself.
How about YOU??

Finally this is a picture of the lighthouse down the street from me.

Nice isn't it?

  1. This is absolutely breathtaking scenery to me! You are very lucky to live in such a beautiful part of America! As for the fairy festival, YES! I would've wanted to build one then and I want to build one now! They have always intrigued me! My best friends daughter had one of the prettiest ones ever when she was younger! Thanks for sharing this! Have a great Wedenesday!

  5. I love Booth Bay and your pictures are gorgeous. My daughter and I visited last September and I think of my visit there quite often.
If it weren't for my children living near me in Texas I would relocate in a minute to Booth Bay

Design Challenges are great.

And because of those challenges

I have imported fine antique pieces from Paris,

Designed and Manufactured Furniture,

Created Fantastic Window Treatments,

And solved all kinds of spatial & architectural issues

With my unique style.

If I can't find it, I create it.

My rooms would make excellent movie sets.

I am a visual, tactile and audio sensitive individual.

Creating is what I live for, not math, not spelling, not science.

Just Great Design.

Just imagine how it would be if each of us,

If only for a few hours of everyday,We could be in a space that is our very own.A place that is exactly the way we want it to be

Surrounded by all the things we wanted to see,

The atmosphere we wanted feel, smell and the sound we wanted to listen to.
