Went Fishing...

I had an invitation to get away for a few days....

I took it. It was to go FISHING in the Keys.
We went to Islandmorada.

We went on one of those drift fishing boats.
The days before my anxiety was at it's peak.
I get sea sick just thinking about a drift fishing boat.
When I was a kid....
I got sooooo sick
and was trapped on this big old boat
for 4 hours. I have NEVER forgotten this horrible experience.
So......
I took the Dramamine the night before and the morning of.

We get to the dock I see these big fish right by the dock....
I am thinking,
If I don't hurl over the railing.....
this should be exciting!!!
Catching big fish.
Isn't that what we all want to do???

This was the only big fish I did catch!!!

I did not get sick on the boat-
but this is a pretty sad catch.
The fish I caught were tiny as rubber duckies.
I think the biggest fish was 12".
I think the oceans have been all fished out.

All in all....
it was a much needed change of environment
for me.

I thought you might like this VERY FLORIDA seahorse rail.
I loved it.
I am partial to anything 'Horsie.'

I hope everyone is well
and had a great weekend with their loved ones.

  2. Glad to see that you had a great time! So beautiful Who cares about the fish if you have a good time? You can buy them at the fish market. Obvious you didn't leave empty handed, lol.

  10. I am eating my heart out.. I love fishing, the Keys are the best fishing. Those were Barracuda at the dock. I see red fish and a yellow tail. You are right about fished out. We took a Capt. of a
Big Yacht fishing with his kids.. He was from South Amer. I told him he had to measure the fish before he kept it. He said why? Don't you cut it into little pieces when you eat it. That's his mentality.
God help the fish. They would shoot him in Maine..Glad you had fun. Rick is goodlooking, a keeper.
