LETTING GO

Don't worry about losing.
If it is right, it happens -
The main thing is not to hurry.
Nothing good gets away.
~John Steinbeck, 10 November 1958

Wouldn't this be a good and healthy belief system to hold onto?

do you love this house?
I do.
It has been in my files forever
and I wanted to finally share it.

  1. This is, so absolutely not, what the house I grew up in looked like...but it immediately made me remember my teenage years! I can't for the life of me figure out why but it doesn't matter because YES I love this house!
I also like Steinbeck's words...but I always love his words! xoxo

  2. This is indeed a great house...doesn't look at all like the subdivision of 'boxes' I grew up in southern CA in.
    This exudes charm and character.
Love the quote...God's in charge and HIS timing is perfect....every time!
    Breathe Girlfriend!

  4. Gorgeous blog,
    Rene! This house
    reminds me of one
    of my favorite movie
    houses....The Father
    of The Bride....I've
    watched it and the
    sequels just to see
    the house : ) Love
    the quote, as well.
    But I'm a quote kind
    of gal!!

  5. Such a great quote which is so logically simple in its wisdom!

I live on the other side of the world, in Melbourne Australia {where I am a designer too} so these houses always fascinate me, because they are so different to our architecture. They look like storybook houses ~ and I love to imagine who may live there, what they talk about, what music they play, etc.

This one is a cracker! So pretty, with such a luscious garden around it.

About Renée Finberg

I have been in this business since the age of 22.

I love what I do and cannot imagine my life without Design.

Design Challenges are great.

And because of those challenges

I have imported fine antique pieces from Paris,

Designed and Manufactured Furniture,

Created Fantastic Window Treatments,

And solved all kinds of spatial & architectural issues

With my unique style.

If I can't find it, I create it.

My rooms would make excellent movie sets.

I am a visual, tactile and audio sensitive individual.

Creating is what I live for, not math, not spelling, not science.

Just Great Design.

Just imagine how it would be if each of us,

If only for a few hours of everyday,We could be in a space that is our very own.A place that is exactly the way we want it to be

Surrounded by all the things we wanted to see,

The atmosphere we wanted feel, smell and the sound we wanted to listen to.

Private Paradise
