Innocent Again

Yom Kippur
known as the Day of Atonement
and it is the holiest day of the year for Jews

So, I am thinking WHITE.

*White is associated with light, goodness, innocence, purity, and virginity. It is considered to be the color of perfection.
White means safety, purity, and cleanliness. As opposed to black, white usually has a positive connotation. White can represent a successful beginning. In heraldry, white depicts faith and purity.
In advertising, white is associated with coolness and cleanliness because it's the color of snow. You can use white to suggest simplicity in high-tech products. White is an appropriate color for charitable organizations; angels are usually imagined wearing white clothes.

I really love winter white. To me it is incredibly rich elegant.
Especially when accented with touches of gold as shown above.

This tiny chandelier is so pretty....but it would go best in my closet.
Thank you very much!

This pic is so old. It is from my files, and I do not know where it is from. But I am drawn to industrial touches too. Like the table. I love almost anything on wheels.

This kitchen shot has been all over the blogosphere, and I don't know where I grabbed it from. But the chairs are 'forever.' Right ?

Okay, Today I asked G-d for forgiveness for all my sins from this past year.
It was a brief conversation.
Because I am such an angel....LOL.

This last image speaks to me.....it is saying;
"If you are a virgin (again), and an angel (again), come take a bubble bath in me.

I love this bathroom. The little gold chair makes it.

  4. What a beautiful post, Renee, Thank you for the peaceful thoughts and such wonderful images. Love the white rooms. On a different note, i just finished reading your tribulations in your work space....highly entertaining, could be a sitcom.I can relate to what you are dealing with. I had very similar experiences while working at Nordstrom where everyone there is for themselves and we worked on commissions only. Even the manager was cutting into our sales to steal our clients...doggy dog world... Running my showroom, I make sure that there is a team spirit, only if the store makes its monthly goal, do the sales associates and designer receive either commissions or bonuses. i am sending positive thoughts so that the market turns around and you can get back into business for yourself.

What a wonderful selection of pure whites. I suspect I could install one of those bathrooms also.

Love the chairs, stools and lamps!

  8. Happy belated Yom Kippur Renee. Your presentment of white & that of it vs. black says a lot. A lot now makes sense of me wearing so much black! I too adore winter white. The first room you posted is unreal - pure love. The kitchen with the Chippendale style chairs is my dream kitchen; great inspiration.
I am off to the Galleria to incorporate some "angelic, virginal" pieces of clothing in white to my dismal wardrobe..ha!

Good day to you ~ Xx

  9. Hi Renee,
Love winter white and all the rooms you posted! I might try one. I have just read your last two posts and cannot believe you're still getting the cold shoulder from Lunatic. You certainly do not have a boring job!! I have learned that fighting fire with fire only "fuels the fire" with such drama queens, yes him and Medusa. Even though you want to say what's REALLY on your mind at times to them you're better off taking the high road. Forgive (how many times 70 X 7...a lot) and try to keep moving forward as you are ....just ignore the pouting, looks and evil gestures and you'll be rewarded in the end....it's just hard to see it right now. Blessings (sales) to you every day at that J O B! Big HUG! Luanne
